Google Ads, Meta ads and SEO for Charlotte businesses

Charlotte’s metro crosses into South Carolina, so ads answer to two states’ license rules, and demand moves with pine pollen, spring storms and summer heat.

We work with Charlotte businesses remotely from Dallas, an hour behind Eastern time, with calls set in your business hours.

When demand moves in Charlotte

Budgets and campaigns change before each swing, not after the leads dry up.

Campaign calendar

When budgets and campaigns change

  • March and April

Pollen peaks. Pressure washing, duct and allergy ads ready before the first yellow week.

    Details

Tree pollen peaks and pine pollen turns cars, decks and windows yellow. This is the window for pressure washing, window cleaning, HVAC filter and duct work, and allergy care, so budgets and creative should be ready before the first yellow week.

  • Spring storms

A storm ad group for roofers and tree crews, live the morning after hail or high wind.

    Details

Thunderstorms with hail and high wind send roof, gutter and tree calls up in bursts that last days, not months. Roofers and tree crews need a storm ad group and budget that can go live the morning after.

  • May to September

Hot, humid months. Have AC tracking and pages live before the first heat wave.

    Details

Hot, humid days run from May into September. AC repair and replacement demand rises with the first heat wave, so tracking and landing pages need to be in place before summer, not during it.

  • June to November

Hurricane season. Tree removal and water damage searches jump in the days after a storm.

    Details

Atlantic hurricane season. Tropical systems that reach the Charlotte area can bring downed trees, power outages and water damage, which sends tree removal and water damage restoration searches up in the days after each storm.

What each service looks like in Charlotte

Who the ads reach, what the pages say and where you show up in search.

  • Google Ads

Separate NC and SC campaigns, so budgets, ad text and license details match the state the customer lives in.

    Details

Separate campaigns for the North Carolina and South Carolina sides of the metro, targeted to people in or regularly in each area, so budgets, ad text and license details match the state the customer lives in. Spanish ad groups only where calls can be answered in Spanish.

    How we run Google Ads
  • Meta ads

Pollen, storm and heat-season creative, with separate audiences for Lake Norman, Union County and York County.

    Details

Facebook and Instagram ads timed to this market’s swings: creative ready for the first pollen week, storm follow-up for roofers and tree crews, and heat-season offers for HVAC, targeted by county or ZIP code so Lake Norman, Union County and York County each get their own audience and copy.

    How we run Meta ads
  • Conversion rate optimization

Pages that show the license for the customer’s state, whether prices include NC sales tax, and a tap-to-call button.

    Details

Landing pages that answer what Charlotte-area customers check before calling: the license that applies in their state, whether a price includes North Carolina sales tax, the towns you actually cover, and a tap-to-call button for people searching from their phone at work in Uptown or SouthPark.

    How we do conversion work
  • Website design

Service-area pages for Mecklenburg, Lake Norman, Union, Cabarrus and York County, each with the license that applies.

    Details

A site whose service-area pages follow how this metro splits: Mecklenburg towns, Lake Norman, Union and Cabarrus counties, and the York County side. York County pages show your South Carolina residential builder license or residential specialty registration alongside your North Carolina license, so a Fort Mill or Rock Hill homeowner sees the credential that applies to their job.

    How we design websites
  • SEO

A Google Business Profile with up to 20 service areas, and pages that rank for Ballantyne, Huntersville and Fort Mill.

    Details

A Google Business Profile with real service areas (Google allows 20 and suggests staying within about two hours’ drive), pages that rank for suburb and neighborhood searches such as Ballantyne, Huntersville and Fort Mill, and reviews that mention where the job was done.

Questions about working with us in Charlotte

Ask us anything else at [email protected]. A founder replies within one business day.

Can I have a separate Google Business Profile for the South Carolina side?

Not as a service-area business. Google allows one profile for the whole area you serve, set by city or ZIP code rather than a radius, with up to 20 areas and a suggested limit of about two hours’ drive, so Fort Mill and Rock Hill go on the same profile as Charlotte. The state split happens in your ads and on your site instead: separate South Carolina campaigns and pages that show the license that applies there.

Should my ads reach Fort Mill and Rock Hill?

Only if you can legally take the work there. South Carolina requires a residential builder license for jobs over $5,000 and a license or registration for residential specialty work over $500. If you hold those, run the South Carolina side as its own campaign with its own landing page. If you don’t, exclude it so you aren’t paying for leads you can’t take.

Should Lake Norman get its own campaign?

Usually, if you work around the lake. It is the largest man-made lake entirely in North Carolina and touches four counties, so homes on opposite shores can be close in miles and far apart by road. A Lake Norman campaign targeted by ZIP code to the side you actually serve, such as Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville on the east or Denver and Sherrills Ford on the west, with a landing page naming those towns, keeps you from paying for clicks you’d have to drive around the water to reach.

What does a law firm’s ad have to include in North Carolina?

The State Bar’s rules require each ad to include the name and contact information of at least one lawyer or firm responsible for it. You can only call yourself a specialist if you’re certified by the State Bar or an accredited organization, and the ad names that organization. We’d build those details into every ad and landing page.

How is the work priced?

Ongoing work is one flat monthly fee, never a percentage of your ad spend, and it runs month to month. Website builds get a fixed quote in writing. After your audit, a written proposal with your fee in dollars follows within 2 business days of asking. How our pricing works.
