SEO and AI search for small businesses

We work to get your business found for the searches that bring customers, on Google, Bing and in AI answers like ChatGPT, and we judge the work by inquiries, not rankings. SEO is the work of making your website the result people find and choose when they search for what you sell.

What the free SEO audit checks

Showing up in AI answers

AI Overviews and AI Mode need no special optimization or special markup: they draw on the same index and the same quality signals as regular search. So the work is ordinary SEO done well: clear pages that answer real questions, a site Google can crawl, and a business that’s described consistently everywhere.

To get ChatGPT or Perplexity to recommend your business, be easy to find and easy to describe: a clear service page for each thing you sell, the same business description on your site and profiles, and mentions on sites those assistants already trust. We check what each assistant says about you every month.

What our SEO includes

Technical fixes first, then the pages closest to a sale, then content that answers buyer questions. We report inquiries from search before rankings.

Technical audit and fixes
Indexing, canonicals, speed, schema and sitemaps, so search engines can crawl and trust the site.
Search Console and Bing
Both set up and monitored, so problems show up before they cost you traffic.
Content
One strong page per service, content that answers buyer questions, and internal links that connect them.
Google Business Profile
Set up and maintained for businesses that are eligible under Google’s rules.
A review-request process
A simple way to ask customers for reviews. We never pay for, filter or gate reviews.
Earned mentions and links
Earned through useful content and real relationships, never bought.
Monthly AI answer checks
A fixed set of prompts run in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Mode, plus a consistent business description across your profiles.
Reporting
Inquiries from search first, then the rankings and traffic that explain them.

Your first 90 days

SEO takes longer than ads, so the plan covers 90 days, one month at a time.

  1. Days 1 to 30

Search Console and Bing access, technical audit and fixes, indexing, schema, and a service page plan.

  2. Days 31 to 60

The service pages closest to a sale built or rewritten, internal links, Business Profile if eligible, and an AI answer baseline.

  3. Days 61 to 90

Buyer-question content, earned mentions, and the first review against inquiries from search.

SEO for a new business website

New sites rank slowly. Most new pages take many months to reach Google’s top 10, and many never get there.

So we start where the odds are best: specific service pages, your Google Business Profile if you’re eligible, and searches with clear buying intent and modest competition. We’re doing the same with our own new domain.

Where SEO fits in

Search brings people to the site. Paid search data shows which searches are worth it, and the page decides whether they inquire.

How we price SEO

SEO is a flat monthly fee, set by the scope of work, such as how much content we write each month. It runs month to month, and you get your number in writing after the free audit.

How our pricing works

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t

If you’re not a fit, the free audit will say so, and tell you what to fix first.

Usually a good fit

  • You sell services people search for.
  • You can give SEO a 6- to 12-month horizon.
  • You run Google Ads and want to depend on them less over time.

Usually not a fit

  • You need leads this month only. Google Ads is the faster route.
  • You want guaranteed rankings or hundreds of city pages.

What we won’t do in your SEO

These apply to every account and project we take on, whatever the budget. They sit alongside the standards we hold across the studio.

Read our standards
  • Guarantee rankings. No one controls where Google places a page.
  • Buy links.
  • Mass-produce city or industry pages.
  • Pay for or gate reviews.

Questions about SEO

Ask us anything else at [email protected]. A founder replies within one business day.

Do you do local SEO and Google Business Profile?

Yes, for businesses that qualify under Google’s guidelines. For service-area businesses we set the profile up to show your area without publishing a home address.

What does an SEO audit cost?

The search section of our free audit covers the technical basics, your selling pages and who outranks you. A deeper paid audit is part of the first month of SEO work.

Do you write the content, or do we?

We write it, with your input on the details only you know. The best pages come from your real answers to customer questions.

What access do you need?

Search Console, Google Business Profile manager access if you have one, and edit access to your website or a way to ship changes.

Is SEO worth it if I already run Google Ads?

Yes, if you sell services people search for. Your ads data shows which searches turn into customers, and SEO earns those searches, so you pay per click only where SEO can’t reach yet.
